Weekly Bulletin- October 5, 2015

1.   Annual Dig Pink Week: What a great week of supporting breast cancer research.  The volleyball team raised $3000.  Great job girls, volleyball parents, and students for supporting this cause.  The volleyball game on Thursday was amazing.

2.   Cross Country 3rd Annual Trail Run: Cross Country Trail Run Fundraiser: Support Brashier Cross Country by registering for the 3rd Annual Brashier Trail Run 5K, to be run on the Brashier Cross Country course.  The date is next Saturday, October 10, at 9:00 AM.  Proceeds will also benefit Josiah Jennings and Josiah's Journey.  Cost is $15 for students and includes a Brashier Trail Run t-shirt.  For more information, pick up a flier from the Front Desk or check the Weekly Bulletin for the registration website (https://book-events.com/brashiertrailrun)

3.   PSAT for 10th and 11th Graders:  We will be administering the PSAT to 10th graders as a part of the stateís testing program on October 14th.  10th graders will be tested at no charge.  11th graders can participate for $14.  Contact Mrs. Bennett to sign up and pay.  The deadline to sign up is October 7.

4.   Senior Graduation Supplies:  Herff Jones will be meeting with the seniors on October 9 at 8:40 to present various graduation supply options.  All seniors need to attend this meeting, even if they have an Open period.

5.   Junior Class Rings:  Herff Jones will be meeting with the juniors on October 9 at 8:10 to present various class ring options.  All juniors need to attend this meeting, even if they have an Open period.

6.   Freshmen Applications:  Remember that October is Open Enrollment.  All students entering the lottery for next year must have an application submitted to the school before October 30 at 3:00.

7.   Teacher Work Day:  There will be no classes on October 16 due to a Teach Workday.

8.   Class Ring and Graduation Supply Order Dates:  Herff Jones will be on campus on October 20 in the evening from 5:00-7:00pm in the front office area.  This is to allow parents to make payments or ask questions in person.  They will be back on October 21 from 12:00-1:30pm to take orders if anyone cannot attend the October 20 time.

9.   Student Led Conferences:  Conferences will be held on October 23.  You should be receiving communication from your studentís Enrichment teacher. 

10. Fall Blood Drive:  This yearís drive will be held on October 26.  We need your participation.  We recently received $1000 from the Blood Connection as a result of our campaigns last year.  We need to continue to improve our participation each year to continue receiving the rewards.
