Principal's Message

A Message from Ms. Freeman

On behalf of the planning board, administration, faculty, and student body, I would like to welcome you to the Brashier Middle College Charter High School website. Our school represents a great partnership between Greenville Technical College and the community. Together we are responding to the needs of students in South Carolina by implementing many unique and research-based concepts. Some of these include master learning, senior projects, student-led conferences, dual credit courses, community service requirements, small class sizes, and a school-wide dress code. As the needs of our students and faculty develop and change, we will continue to expand our program. Our website will provide many of the outstanding programs we offer, so please visit us often. We are committed to keeping Brashier Middle College a leader in education, not only in the county, but across the state and nation. Thank you for your interest in our school.

Mrs. Freeman has been a fixture at Brashier for the last fifteen years. She taught math for several years at both a traditional public school and at Brashier before moving into administration. She has served as an assistant principal at Brashier since 2008. She received a B.S in Mathematics Teaching and a M.A. in Secondary Administration both from Clemson University. Mrs. Freeman has been active in charter leadership for many years through her involvement in the Middle College National Consortium, the Charter Institute at Erskine Leadership Cohort Group, the SC Public Charter School Alliance, Leadership Golden Strip, and several other SC Department of Education programs. She and her husband, Jay, live in Simpsonville with their three sons, Jack, Brad, and Mills.
